"It's about a mile from here, we can walk," Alice said.

"Lead the way..." Meyla said as she let Alice take the lead once more.

The store looked exactly as it always had, like it was a few months away from being knocked down. The red letters were slightly crooked and the second F in Office was missing. The windows hadn't been cleaned very well and there were several noticeable streaks. The door creaked slightly as she pushed it open and the old bell chimed. Inside it wasn't much better. The lighting was slightly off and the carpets were a strangely patterned gray that suggested centuries of stains. It smelled like old books and coffee. A tall boy was standing on a ladder moving notebooks around and almost fell when he turned around to look at the girls. He caught himself on the ladder's railing and jumped over it, running to pick up Alice in a tight hug and spin her around. "J! Put me down you'll wrinkle my dress!" She laughed. "I haven't seen you in almost two years! You haven't called in months, I thought you were dead," he said, hugging her tighter, "I thought you were dead Al, like in the ground gone forever and I wouldn't get to say goodbye. I'm tempted to never put you down again." "If you never let me go how will you ever run this failure of a business you've got? Do you think your dad won't come back to haunt you if you let this place go out of business?" Alice asked. "The business can rot, I'm not letting you go." "How will you eat?" "I can use one arm to eat and one arm to hold you." "How will you get dressed?" "I can wear these clothes forever." "How will you shower? Because sorry I don't want to be around you if you're not showering regularly." "Well..." "OH MY GOD J JUST LET ME GO!" Alice laughed, pushing him away. "The last time I saw you you were still a kid, now you're so much more grown up." He said, looking her up and down. "I've always been grown up," Alice said, "and you were a kid too, don't think that just because you inherited a shitty business you're suddenly so much older than me, two years isn't as big a difference as it was when we were kids." "Two and a half years and I was eighteen so I wasn't a kid. You were sixteen Al, you should have been in school." "Shut up, we can catch up another time, I'll come back and visit soon I promise. Right now I'm questing and I need to focus on work." She turned to Meyla and shot her an apologetic look. "Fine, now introduce me to your friend and tell me what you need but don't think I'm not gonna hold you to that promise. You're going to tell me everything that's happened to you and what exactly kept you from making a single phone call." "Fine," Alice said, sticking out her hand to shake. He looked her straight in the eyes and took it. "This is Meyla," Alice said, "we need to get into a museum and steal something."

(OOC: Sorry for not replying for so long))
Meyla coughed, a little embarrassed for having witnessed the reunion of two friends. She held out her hand and smiled at 'J' who she assumed was the namesake of the buisness. "Nice to meet you, I hope you can help us out with what we need."
