Nabarl looked around. "I've not been here long myself, to be honest. It looks like even deeper into the alleyway, or onto the main street, I'm afraid."

Evelyn bit her lip and looked around. On the one hand, she didn't want to head into the main streets for fear of being lost, but on the other, she liked to look through documents by spreading them out in front of her, and didn't want to put them all over the ground. "All right," she said, "I think we should head out into the main crowd and see if we can find a cafe or something. At the very least, hopefully we will be able to find a map or someone who can give us directions. What language do they speak here, do you know? Have you heard them talking? Could you understand them? The last thing we need right now is a language barrier."

(OOC: I will be on a mission trip with my church from the 16th through the 23rd and our youth director has decided on a strict no-tech policy, so I won't be able to quest...I can either make Evelyn go AWOL or have a friend quest for me. Which do you think would work better/do you have another suggestion?)

(OOC: I have an idea for what to do if Evelyn goes AWOL. We would need to get to a better position for you to disappear, but that wouldn't take too long. If someone else posts, they may not know the character well enough to work. That's my feelings, at least)

"I haven't spoken to anyone yet. My portal was five minutes outside the city." Nabarl replied. "I flew in, found somewhere to land, and I'm guessing they sent you to me."

"Well that's lovely. We should probably check it all out sooner rather than later," Evelyn said, making her way into the crowds of people.

Nabarl followed her into the swarm of people, trying his best not to lose sight of her. From the snippets of conversations he heard, there were many different languages in use. Some he recognised, others he didn't.
"I don't think languages are a problem, at least. Just use whichever one you're most comfortable with, and hope the person your talking to understands." He said to Evelyn once he'd managed to cut through the crowd enough to catch up.

"Great," Evelyn said over her shoulder, turning to a random person and asking where she could find a good place to eat. The man, a short, fat, balding creature with unhealthily yellow skin and a few missing teeth, looked at her and spat. "I don't answer questions for anyone of the Cult of Rakdos," he hissed, bumping into her as he walked past. Evelyn turned to Narbal and threw her hands in the air, careful not to drop the folder. "What the hell did I ever do to him? And what in the name of all things holy is the Cult of Rakdos? Why would he think I'm one of them?" She asked, completely flustered.
(OOC: I made use of that lovely thing called google, so I'm not one hundred percent sure if this makes sense with the way the world works, but I'll just hope it does. Assume Evelyn's wearing black & red, they're two of her favorite colors)

(OOC: Understood. I used Sierra's link to the WotC site. Nabarl, as in his picture, will be wearing Blue and White. Azorius, the law-based guild... How did that happen?)
"I find it best to never assume anything when somewhere new, given our line of work. There could be some completely logical reason to him why you appear to be of that cult thing, that we just don't know." Nabarl replied. "Maybe I should try?"
Nabarl turned around. "Excuse me, sir?" He asked the first person he could see. "I need to find somewhere to go for a quiet drink. Could you point me in the right direction?"
"There's one on the side streets, just down there." He said, pointing to a turning a short way down the main road.
"Thank you."
"Don't mention it." He said, before flashing a grin made completely of fangs. "Always a pleasure to help a fledgling Azorian."
