((ooc: This runs after 'Stealing The Spotlight', but before 'Fatherhood Round 2'. Also, other Questers can't follow Emilie into Limbo, they have to remain in HQ unless I say otherwise. For at least three quarters of this quest, I need Emilie to be the only one there. I don't care how you do it, but no-one can follow her in. I'd prefer Questers who know Emilie in some way already, but they don't have to. I think I might need Kina...))
DG knocked loudly on the door. "Em? You in there?" There was no response. "C'mon, Em, we have a lesson today, it's already ten o'clock." Still nothing. This wasn't like her. 'Emilie, if you can hear me, open the door.' She thought, but the door didn't open. 'Maybe she's out.' DG walked away from Emilie's room at HQ, deciding to try again later. It wasn't like Emilie to be late, especially for one of their lessons, but she always had a reason for everything she did. No doubt she'd turn up at some point. She'd probably just been sent on a quest or something. DG made a mental note to look into that.
Emilie whirled around in the grey. There was nothing. Just grey. She'd been here before, she knew where she was. This was Limbo, it had to be. "Ok, Em, think. How did you get here?" But she couldn't remember. "No, this isn't possible, I remember everything. What happened?" She'd done some snooping around for a couple of the Questers, met them in the library to discuss her findings, had dinner in the canteen and gone to bed. She couldn't remember waking up. A voice sounded in the grey emptiness. "Emilie, if you can hear me, open the door." "DG?" Emilie called aloud, spinning around to find her, but her friend wasn't there. "DG, is that you? Where are you?" "Maybe she's out." The voice said again. It seemed to be coming from all around her. "What? No, I'm here! DG, I'm here! Help me!" Emilie didn't know which way to look or what to do. She simply sat on what she could only describe as the floor and despaired.
***
DG hammered on the door this time. "Emilie? Come on, I know you're in there, open up." Still nothing. "Come on, Em, it's been two hours already, open up." Still no reply from inside. DG tried the handle, but the door was locked from the inside. Unsure what else to do, she grabbed hold of the first Quester to pass by.

Kina had been at HQ once a week ever since they found out she was pregnant. No matter how much she protested they told her that she had to have constant check ups with them so they could track the progress of her child. It was that or forceful termination. Kina didn't so much like the idea of that.
A rather heavily pregnant Kina was walking through the corridors of HQ, when she decided to go to the training room. Damien had been far too protective over her and hadn't allowed her to train at all, and she was getting restless. She was just making her way to her favourite training room when someone grabbed her arm and spun her around.
"Hey!" she yelped, holding on to her stomach, "What's your problem?"

"Sorry" DG said, letting go "it's just, my friend is in here and she's not opening the door or responding at all and I've already checked with the higher ups, she's definitely not on a quest and I'm not sure what to do..."

Kina looked closer at where she was and then at the door. She felt a jolt in her heart when she realised who it was. Emilie. Kina turned to DG, axe in hand. "Start from the beginning, tell me what happened!"

"I'm sort of her tutor, and we were meant to have a session today, only she didn't show up, so I came to find her, but there was no sign she was in there so I went to check if she'd been sent out on a quest, but she hasn't and it's been two hours since I last came by and no-one's seen her and..." DG had to pause to catch her breath once she realised she hadn't taken one.
Emilie felt out with her mind. The last time she was in Limbo it was to find someone, maybe she'd been sent back to find someone else. But there was nothing. No-one. It was just her. Alone. In Limbo.

Kina could see the worry in the other woman's face and laid a hand on her shoulder as a gesture for calming her. "I know it's unlike Emilie to miss something like that, but there could be a perfectly reasonable excuse."
Kina turned to the door and banged louder. "Emilie!"

"I've tried that" DG called over the banging "she's not answering."
Emilie sat in the silence, confused, worried and starting to get irritated. "Alright, so why am I here?!" She called into the ether, but nothing replied. "C'mon, there has to be a reason! People don't just randomly drift into Limbo for no reason!" "Unless they're in a coma..." A voice in the grey whispered. Emilie span around, but there was no-one there. She felt out with her mind, but again it was just her. "Are you saying I'm in a coma...?" She asked tentatively. "You could be, I'm not sure..." Emilie was sure she recognised the voice. "Show yourself, who are you?" The fog began to swirl around her and a figure emerged. It was a figure Emilie knew all too well.

Kina looked to the woman and sighed. "Fine," she said as she took a step back and kicked the door wide open.

DG rushed past the weirdly strong woman into Emilie's room. The girl was on her bed, apparently still asleep. DG knelt down beside her. "Emilie? Emilie, can you hear me?" No response. She shook her. "Emilie?! Wake up!" Still nothing. 'Emilie, if you can hear me, you need to wake up now!'
Emilie stood, silent and shooked, as she watched herself walk out of the fog. Except that the other her was grey all over, skin and hair included. Emilie, on the other hand, was still wearing her rainbow striped pyjamas. "You're me..." The other girl nodded with a half-smile. Emilie's half-smile. It was a little disconcerting to say the least. "But... How... What...?" "Think of me as your subconscious, sort of. I'm your inner thoughts." "Why do you look like me?" "Would you prefer I return to being a disembodied voice?" Emilie smiled and laughed a little. "No, I'd rather be talking to someone than nothing." "Emilie, if you can hear me, you need to wake up now!" Called a different voice. Disembodied, and echoing slightly, but both Emilies knew who it was. "DG..." They said together. "Why can I hear her?" "It's her thoughts you can hear, not her." Replied Inner Emilie. "Ok, so why can I hear them?" "You're a mind-reader, why shouldn't you hear them?" "Because it's weird..." "And your usual mental state isn't?" Emilie relented, the other her had a point.

Kina dropped to her knees next to the girl she had come to think of as a younger sister. 'Emilie, I know you can hear me. Come back to us.'
