Axel gripped the doorknob with one hand and held his MP5 ready in the other hand. He took a calming breath and made sure that his visor down. He gently opened the door, the quiet squeak it made sounded deafening to Axel's panic stricken mind. He slowly set foot inside the house, his rubber soled boots squeaked slightly on the polished marble floor.
'Any more squeaking and these vampires will think they are being invaded by some mice' He thought.
A woman was laid alone on the floor surrounded by a pool of blood. Keeping his senses strained for any sign of vampire, Axel crossed the room to check on the poor woman. He crouched down and just as his hand was reaching down to feel for a pulse, she jumped on him.
Axel tried his best to hold the vampire at bay with his hand around her throat while he scrambled to grab a weapon. The UV lights on his helmet activated and the vampire recoiled as her skin burned. Axel fired his T-bone and the stake buried itself in her chest, making her explode in a cloud of blood.
The simulation deactivated and Axel was left laying on the floor of Department 19's training room. He looked up to see a very disappointed Jaime Carpenter looking down at him. Axel pulled off the training equipment and left the room angrily. He took an elevator up to the Loop's aircraft hanger then walked out onto the runway. A solitary, gigantic man was stood watching the sunset beyond the shield that protected them from vampires.
"Another failed training assignment Axel?" The man asked without turning round.
Axel stood next to him.
"How did you know I had failed Victor?"
Frankenstein's creation looked down at Axel.
"I could hear the dark cloud over your head coming a mile away"
"How does he do it? Jaime I mean, he's younger than me and yet, he's the golden child of D19"
"You were as good as him as I remember it and you worked well alongside him"
"Yes until Valeri Rusmanov saw fit to throw me through a brick wall" Axel spat bitterly
"Young Axel, like I said at the time you were lucky to survive that encounter at all and be tahnkful that it was only Valeri and not Valentin Rusmanov"

A few days later, Axel was assigned night patrol of the perimeter which he liked as it gave him an opportunity to be alone in the fresh air away from the underground expanses of the Loop. He saw what looked like a flock of bats flying straight towards the Loop.
"No. Not him. Not now" Axel was panicked now.
He activated the radio in his helmet.
"Warning! Warning! Code red! Dracula is approaching the Loop. Repeat Dracula is approaching the Loop"
The bats smashed through the shield and turned back into Count Dracula. Axel raised his T-Bone and fired it but his hands were shaking too much and the shot was wide. He hit the retract button but it was too late; Dracula was flying down towards him. The Loop's sirens were blaring loudly as the original vampire lifted Axel into the air.
"I was hoping to find Jaime but you will have to do" Dracula hissed.
"Do for wh..?"
Dracula ripped off Axel's helmet and looked into his eyes.
"Sleep!" The vampire ordered.
Axel eventually regained consciousness; he felt oddly cold and the world around him seemed grey. His eyes snapped open and he looked around, he was definitely not on Earth anymore.
"No! No!" Axel yelled.
He got steadily to his feet and looked around him.
"Where has that vampire sent me to?"

Inside the QA Headquarters, one of surveillance officers saw a new person arrive in the Underworld. She sat watching the events unfold for a few moments.
"Err ma'am; I think Count Dracula has stranded someone in the Underworld"
A purple skinned lady stood behind her and looked at the monitor.
"Any idea as to he has stranded there?"
"Looks to be an ordinary human"
The surveillance officer ran a scan of the man.
"Appears to be a Department 19 operative from one of the Earth variants. Do we attempt a rescue ma'am?"
"If we have somebody spare; there must be a reason why Dracula would strand him there and why he would go for level 3 as well"
The supervisor put out a call for any available questers.
