Damien stood in one of the dueling arenas that the QA maintained for sparring fights and to allow questers a chance to engage in combat to sate their various fighting desires. He had returned from the Pokemon World as a broken man but after a long period of recuperation he was being allowed out of the rehabilitation facility to start training again. But he hated drafter trainer as that was too easy for him as the Prism so he had come to the dueling arena to take on real life opponents who wouldn't pull their punches like the Blackguard used to when they trained him in hand to hand combat.
"Today my adoring public," A loud voice echoed around the arena from a speaker system "I have a new fighter for you today; Damien, the undying Prism"
Damien groaned at those last words, he could die and was probably going to right here in front of this crowd which wasn't even trying to pretend that they liked him.
"After thoroughly researching Damien's home world we have selected some appropriate opponents for him to face today"
Damien popped his neck right then left as the large doors in front of him swung open. A contingent of at least twenty mirror men in full mirror armour rode out towards him on horseback. Damien was a little taken aback that they had managed to find proper mirror armour for these people to wear. The reflective surface of the mirror armour could destroy luxin before it caused any harm to the wearer.
"The Undying Prism looks a little nervous everybody! Maybe he would rather be facing a box full of kittens"
Damien couldn't resist grinning as the arena was suddenly bathed in bright artificial sunlight giving him the full advantage. He tore off his top so he was bare chested and started fill his body with green luxin. The green luxin swirled like smoke down through his body from his eyes to his hands. He used to hate his light coloured Atashian skin as it always gave away what colour he was drafting but now he didn't care as he wanted them to see the death headed their way. A single mirror man rode towards him which was unusual but the wildness that green luxin conjured was overpowering Damien after so long not drafting. Damien raised his hands and the air around them cracked with all the possible shades of green light before a gigantic boar spear made of green luxin rocketed out of his hands and impaled the mirror man.
'I could go green golem right now and crush them all' Damien thought savagely.
He drafted blue luxin and it brought logical clarity to his mind. The lone mirror man had been a sacrificial diversion to buy the others time to split up and encircle Damien. The arena floor started to open so various obstacles could ascend into the arena to make things more interesting.
'Okay green and blue work. Let's see what else is working'
Damien sprinted towards a large pillar and blasted rungs made of blue luxin up one face of it. Each rung buried itself securely into the stone and Damien was soon clambering up them. It took a tremendous amount of Will to make luxin anchor itself in brick but he had had a few decades to develop his Will.
The mirror men were clinging to the outer perimeter of the arena as it continued to change around them. The remaining nineteen had split into four teams of four and one of three. One mirror man raised a pistol and instantly Damien wrapped a cocoon of yellow and blue luxin around himself just in time to absorb the bullet fired at him but there was suddenly hundreds of bullets firing at him.
'Of course. Why would they have simple black powder guns when they can be given semi-automatic pistols and automatic rifles?'
Damien hadn't sealed the yellow luxin so it glowed replenishing the strength of the blue luxin outer shell as bullets thudded into it causing it to crack in several places.
