Hollie was taken aback at that.
"That's certainly a fashion statement... One sec. I don't think I have any hairpins, but I have something that should suffice..."
She rummaged around in her backpack's front pocket, before producing two long, thin sticks.
"Ta-dah! Lacquered chopsticks. You can use 'em in your hair, or for throat stabby goodness. You can also eat with 'em, but I think you'd better wash 'em first..."
She held them out for Evelyn, before replacing her pack.

"Thank you. I rarely have to use them, but I have had some encounters that have been dangerously close to ending with my death." Evelyn said, pulling her hair up into a bun

"No problem. Now, let's get going." Hollie said. She headed towards the door, pulling her luggage along behind her.

Evelyn picked up her bag and fell in step behind Hollie. Hopefully this adventure would go smoothly.

Hollie began walking towards the portal room, greeting most of the people the duo met along the way. When they finally arrived, she turned to Evelyn.
"Ok, you'll need to wait here for a second. I need to help link the portal with a way, and I'd prefer it if we don't end up walking into Titania's bathroom."
Hollie walked off and began talking with a woman sat in front of a wall of monitors.

Evelyn stood watching the portals. She wasn't such a huge fan of portals personally. She hadn't always had the best experiences with them in the past. She picked up a map of Arcadia, slipping it into her bag for use later.

Hollie returned to Evelyn a few minutes later.
"OK, I think we've found a way, but there's probably not long 'til it moves. So we better go quick, 'Cause I have no idea where it'll end up if it does shift." She said, grabbing her cases, and turning towards the newly opened portal.

Evelyn closed her eyes and held her breath as she stepped through the portal. She had the terrible sensation that she was being torn apart and put back together before she landed. She opened her eyes and cursed, she couldn't see anything. This was a fairly common side effect for her, and it was incredibly annoying.

Hollie walked through the portal, and landed softly on the other side. As soon as her feet touched the ground, she snapped her fingers, and the cases began to levitate.
"That'll make things a little easier..." She said, as she set about removing a sword sheath tied to a sash, which was tied around her waist, and a bow and quiver, which she hung over her shoulder.
She then took a look around. A frost coated field. So they were not far into Winter's portion of Arcadia. The way had shifted, as she had feared, but thankfully not too much.
"Well, we're further away than I'd hoped, but it could've been much worse. Shall we?"

"Can we just wait a few minutes, I can't see anything..." Evelyn said, turning toward Hollie's voice.
