"You might want to follow me, if you don't want to get lost..." Hollie said. "You don't go in a straight line if you want to get anywhere here."

"Oh, okay," Evelyn said, standing up and following Hollie in circles. She felt like a total idiot but figured it didn't matter so long as she made her meeting on time.

After a minute or two, the field started to give way to a snow-capped forest. Hollie turned and gave Evelyn a grin.
"We're getting close now."

Evelyn was shocked when the scenery changed. She did her best not to look shocked but was fascinated by the magic at work around her. Hollie now appeared to be a good distance ahead, probably because of her head start. Evelyn readjusted her hold on her bag and jogged a little bit to catch up.

Hollie began to walk forwards into the forest, slowing her pace to allow Evelyn to catch up.
She began scanning the forestline, trying to find the right place to enter.

Evelyn looked around. There was something distinctly not right about this place, but she couldn't put her finger on it. Maybe the grass was too green or the sky too blue, but the entire place seemed unnatural to her.

Hollie walked forward under the treeline, not really paying attention to Evelyn, or the forest itself.
Just as she passed under the branches, a rope pulled tight around her leg and dragged her up by her ankle.

Evelyn saw the traps only seconds before Hollie activated them. Carefully stepping around them, she pulled one of the chopsticks out of her hair, belatedly remembering that they weren't knives. She pulled out the silver knife she kept in her belt and cut Hollie down from the tree. "That probably activated some sort of alarm, we should get out of here," she said, looking around for movements that might give an enemy away.

The undergrowth to their right shook briefly, then to the left, circling the pair. Hollie cursed her inattentiveness under her breath, before using her scarf as a makeshift bandana to keep her hair out of her eyes, and drew her bow.
"I'm hoping they won't be hostile towards me, but this IS Winter." Hollie said to her companion "And even if they act friendly to me, I can't promise anything for you..."

"That's Aokay with me, I love a good fight," Evelyn said, tuning so that her back was to Hollie's,"too bad I had to leave half my weapons behind."
