It was dark. The woman couldn't remember who or where she was, just that she needed to find a man. She didn't know or couldn't remember who he was, just that she was in love with him and would do anything for him. He was her world, her everything, she couldn't live without him and he filled her every waking thought.

Woman found dead near nightclub. Cause of death unknown.

Evelyn rolled into bed, exhausted after another stupid Questing Association assignment. All she wanted in the world was to get a full night of sleep and stop running on caffeine. She had just turned off her bedside lamp when her phone rang. She picked it up and threw it against the wall, hearing it break. Within minutes, the landline was ringing. She stood up and stormed into the kitchen, picking up the phone.
"Whoever this is had better have a pretty damn good reason for waking me up," she snapped.
"Sorry, I do not appreciate your tone of voice," Frederik said. She had to bite her lip to avoid yanking the phone out of the wall.
"I just finished a quest, you cannot seriously expect me to start another one. I haven't gotten a full night's sleep in over a month!" She yelled into the phone.
"You are to meet your fellow Questers in a nightclub in New York. The details will be in your mailbox within the hour, as usual. You will have to provide your own transportation this time, our drivers do not appreciate your attitude," he said in his obnoxiously calm and condescending voice. Evelyn gave up her internal battle and threw the phone at the wall, yanking the box out of the outlet. She was exhausted. She fingered the band on her arm. She wouldn't even have time to find someone who could deactivate it. At least they would be in a nightclub. That was fairly rare. Maybe this quest would actually be fun. She flicked the light switch, blinking as her eyes adjusted to the brightness, and turned on her espresso machine.
