Kina sat on the edge of her bed, in the bedroom of her house on Earth, with a heavy heart. She remembered everything now, remembered losing herself in Limbo, and all the trouble Emilie had gone through to help her regain those memories. After her return from Camelot, she had rushed straight to all the locations she had thought she might find Damien. She constantly thought about the pure pain on his face when she didn't recognise him and it almost broke her heart. Unable to find him, she had been forced to go on a training mission where she had run into someone else that knew Damien, and had passed on a message to her, in the form of a box.
Inside that box had been a map to some place she didn't know, a key, and a letter written in Damien's handwriting.
"To my dearest Kina,
No matter how many times I write and re-write this letter it never gets any easier to do. As I write this I am sat in a tavern in a place called Falkreath a long way from home and most disheartening of all; a long way from you.
I do not know how long it will be until I see you again, can hold you in my arms, look deep into those eyes of yours and run my fingers through your purple hair.
I cannot believe that I have overcome armies, monsters, wizards and all manner of other things to be with you but now some dodgy goings on with a portal has cost me you and your presence for now.
If you recieve this letter without me being close at hand know that I have loved you since the moment we met and I will love you forever more. I will never be truly gone or lost; I will always be in your heart.
All my love
Damien
P.S. Something is not right at the QA, find me where the dragons roam the world and where there is snow. Speak to K or M to find out where that was. I am sorry that I cannot say more but I do not want the wrong people getting their hands on this information."
She had read those words over a hundred times since bringing the box home, and still she was no closer to figuring out what it meant. Who were K and M? She had no clue, she was the only person with a K name in the QA that she knew, and the only M she could think of was Mara, the girl had said nothing to her so it couldn't have been her. The only conclusion was that these were people that Kina had not met yet, but who could they be?
Kina thought about how to go about finding out this information, but came up stumped. She couldn't exactly go straght to HQ and ask them, or they would know that she had regained her memories, which would land both her and Emilie in serious amounts of trouble.
Suddenly it came to her, Emilie! She was the one person who knew pretty much everything that went on in HQ because of her abilities.
With a grin and plan forming in her mind, Kina dressed and made her way to the QA HQ, in search of the girl she treated as family.

Emilie lay on her bed, eyes closed, quietly listening to her electronic reader tell her a story. She loved to read, but there was something about being read to that was just that little bit nicer. It helped her relax and shut out the minds of everyone else. "Promptly at nine o'clock the next morning, the green-whiskered soldier came to them, and four minutes later they all went into the throne room of the Great Oz..." the voice was saying when Emilie suddenly got a sharp shock in her mind. 'Kina. Rec room. Now.' Worriedly, she stopped her reader, pulled on some proper clothes, since she was still in her pyjamas, and hurried out to the rec room.

Kina dropped through the portal and walked briskly through the halls of HQ. She had no idea where Emilie was likely to be at this time of the day, or whether she was even here. Regardless of that, one thought ran through her mind.
'I have to try...'
Kina ran through the canteen and training rooms very quickly. Emilie was such a colourful person, she wasn't exactly hard to spot. She ran straight past the rec room, before doubling back, deciding to check in there after all. She went in and was just about to turn and leave when Emilie wandered into the room behind her.
"Ah Gods, you're here." Kina said running over to her. "I need information, and I don't know who else to ask. You're my last hope of finding him."

"Still looking for Damien, huh?" Emilie said. 'So this was the emergency?' she thought to herself.

Kina showed Emilie the letter, "Em, I'm serious, these people know where he is. I can find him and bring him back! I need to know who they are."

"K and M" Emilie mused. She thought over the best way of doing things before she spoke again. "Alright, I can get you the information you need, but it'll take me some time. I'll have to do some hallway-wandering, some question-asking and some mind-erasing..."

Kina knew that Emilie could see the plea in her eyes. She had to know what this meant to her, if only so Kina could apologise to him. After all, it was her that had helped Kina to remember him in the first place.
"Do what you can." Kina said with half a smile. She was just glad that Emilie could help.

"Lay low for a bit, but stay on the base." Emilie instructed "I d'no, go do something that doesn't look too out of character for you. I'll come find you when I've got it." With that, Emilie walked out of the rec room. Spying on HQ went against all her loyalties. All, except her loyalty to Kina. Still, it wasn't a great feeling.
She went to the library first and got out a book. She'd frequently roamed the corridors with her nose in a book, so it didn't look particularly suspicious. Then she headed up to the portal room by the longest route possible, going past as many officials as she could. En route, she felt out with her mind, probing for an answer to her questions. 'Where is Damien? Who are K and M?' She was having no luck at all until she passed by a woman who's mind was entirely different, and something she hadn't come across before. It was more like an immense super-computer than a human mind, and Emilie gleaned a few things from it. The woman's name was Valerie, and she was part technological. Valerie stopped and turned to look around. 'Someone is in my mind' she thought. Emilie heard it, but sent a soothing feeling out to her, which seemed to have some effect, if not entirely what she had hoped. She found a store of all the Quester files in Valerie's mind, and pulled out every one beginning with K or M, taking impossibly quick mental images of them all before she rounded the corner and pulled herself out of Valerie's mind. She watched the woman blink a couple of times, as if not entirely sure what had just happened, and then walk away. She sighed with relief, and carried on walking.
She met no-one else useful between there and the portal room, which was frustrating, but couldn't be helped. Once she got to the portal room, she asked the attendant if she could sit quietly in a corner a read, explaining that she liked the sounds the portals made. He gave her a strange look, but said he saw no harm in letting her stay, so Emilie set herself up in a corner to feel out his mind. When she realised he was going to be useless, there was nothing left for it but to wait for the attendant change-over.
While she waited, Emilie looked over the mental files she had pulled from Valerie's mind. She began with all the ones beginning with 'K'. The name Katara rang an instant bell in her head, and she went over all her own memories to see why. 'Of course!' she thought, mentally slapping herself for not thinking of this sooner 'Katara was the one they sent to bring him back! He was sucked into a portal to a world they'd never known about before. Katara went with a beacon to make sure he got home' The memory of her telling Kina this back in Limbo flashed up in her mind. 'But who's M?' She browsed the 'M' files, but nothing stood out immediately. She was just getting to the end of the 'M-E's when the new attendant came in to start her shift. Emilie felt through her mind while she was busy talking to the other attendant about the girl sitting in the corner with the book, and got an instant hit. A memory flashed into her mind of Damien and Katara coming through a portal, followed by a girl with white hair that had a black streak in it. "She's with us" Katara was saying, clearly the attendant had been flustered to see them all, especially with a new addition "She would like to join the Questing Association" 'Meyla...?' Emilie thought, remembering the girl she'd met in Oz on holiday just as she got to Meyla's file. 'That's definitely her!' She checked her watch. She'd been sitting there for nearly an hour. She feigned shock as she stood up suddenly. "Is that the time?!" she gasped "Oh, I'm so late! Thanks for letting me stay" she grinned at the attendants and hurried out, taking the shortest route back to the library to return the book before sending a feeler out for Kina's mind. 'Where are you...?'

Kina had gone to spend time in her usual training room. It wasn't completely out of character for her to come in and train, but her heart really wasn't in it this time. After what seemed like an age, she felt Emilie's thought enter her mind.
'Training room,' she thought back, praying that Emilie had managed to find out something useful.

Emilie hurried to the training room as quickly as possible, while trying not to arouse suspicion. She rarely went in there herself, not really needing to, but both of them meeting up in the rec room again could look suspicious, and the training room was definitely less obvious than the canteen, particularly given that Kina didn't eat.
She walked in with a big grin on her face. "Kina, you're going to love me."
