Ok, so it sounds like people are worried about the complexity, but that the idea has potential.
Maybe talk over the semantics, see if there any changes we can do to simplify it, and make a final judgement then?

Maybe it would be better if we looked at in parts, see which parts don't work or are too complex first, and then go from there?

Alright, makes sense. I think the idea on the whole is generally doable, but the somewhat more intricate workings are a little too complex at the moment.

To stop the quest becoming flooded with the OOC messages on the elite four stuff: Bulbapedia says there is no official stance on how you attain the status, but there are multiple possibilities:
Capture every pokemon
Capture Mewtwo
Become a regional champion
Defeat a regions elite four
Collect all eight badges of a region
Mastery of a single type
Or, finally, Become an undefeatable trainer
Now, there's a quote, that I'm going to confirm is there that I didn't remember, but: In Red, Blue, Yellow, FireRed, and LeafGreen, upon defeating Lance, he declares the player a Pokémon Master
Whether it's the title of Master or Champion you can't get until you defeat the rival, I will also double check.
However, I think it's probably best if we discuss which one to use, and then edit the elite four info afterwards.

I guess I'm good with whichever, but there should be a distinction between master and champion. So I guess defeating the elite four makes you a master and beating the current champion makes you a champion. Sound good to everyone?

Thats fine with me. And I just checked - the victory screen for Lance: OK, that's it! I hate to admit it, but you are a pokemon master!
Then he goes on to talk about how you're the champion...or at least you would have been...
I think you all know the rest...

Shall go delete my side of the OOC convo, and update the E4 info to include the pokemon master line.
