When Kina awoke the next morning she almost jumped out of bed. She now had a way of finding Damien, and at least knew whereabouts to find him. Thanks to Elisha, she had the means and money to get at least part of the way.
Once showered and dressed in her normal clothes, she looked at the armour that Elisha had given her. There was a hooded tunic that had a metal breast-plate and a pair of thick animal-hide trousers. Remembering how cold it was, she decided to put them on over her normal clothes. Pulling on her gloves and placing her axe on her hip, she headed for the door. She raised the hood to cover her hair, and left.
She made her way into the bar and headed over to find the innkeeper that had let her stay in the room. When he noticed her, he smiled and walked over to the bar.
"It's nice to see you, I hope the room was alright for you."
"It was lovely, thank you." Kina replied, "I want to thank you for letting me stay here last night, I'm not quite sure where I would have gone otherwise."
"It was my pleasure, to know that my inn has played host to some as beautiful as you, I would do it again any day.Is there anything else I can help you with?" he replied.
Kina blushed lightly and thanked the man once more. "Actually yes there is, can you tell me where I can find the town carriage? I seem to have a long journey ahead of me."
"When you leave here, turn right and keep walking, you can't miss it. Though I will warn you to be careful, the weather has eased only a little."
Kina nodded, "I understand, thank you." With that, she left the inn, hoping that her journey would be uncomplicated.

"Come now Damien on your feet or shall I send for the hounds to wake you?"
"You only call me Damien when you're after something. Do you need a new battle axe?"
Damien sat up wearily and his blurred vision cleaared enough to reveal Lydia had set the tray on the table and was dressed in a most elegant green velvet dress.
"No I was hoping if I may have the afternoon off to travel into Solitude; I have a rendevous"
Damien heaved himself out of bed and stretched.
"In this weather Lydia? Are you sure that is wise?"
She just looked at him.
"You're going regardless aren't you?"

Kina followed the directions that the innkeeper had given her and soon had found the carriage. There was a man selling the seats, standing next to it. Keeping her hood raised, Kina walked up to him.
"I'd like to travel to Solitude." Kina said to him.
The man looked her up and down and sneered, "And what would you want in a place that far away?"
Kina glared back at him, "My business is my own. Now, are you going to sell me that seat or not?" Her eyes flashed silver in anger and the man, with a shocked look on his face, nodded.
"50 gold." He replied holding his hand out, "It's a two day ride, we'll stop off in Rorikstead for the night, and continue on tomorrow. We should be in Solitude by tomorrow nightfall."
Kina handed over the currency from the pouch that Elisha had given and climbed aboard the carriage.
"I don't care how long it takes, just get me there."

Damien dressed in his Nightingale armour he wore as leader of the Thieves Guild and opened a chest to lift out his two training swords.
"Take the afternoon, take a few days if you need them"
Damien drained his goblet of drink; glad that Nords had developed hangover cures.
"Just wake Nazir and Delvin before you leave. I'm going to work up an appetite before I have my breakfast"
Damien ran out into the house and got himself embroiled in the closest fight he could find.

The journey in the carriage was one of the most uncomfortable experiences Kina had ever had, including the torture that the British government had put her through. By the time they reached Rorikstead that night, her legs had seized up and the muscles in her lower body felt strangely weak.
Slowly she made her way off of the carriage along with the other passengers. She looked around her, this place had much the same look that Falkreath had.
The carriage driver led the way to the nearest inn. Kina followed him in and walked over to the main bar. "I'd like a room please, just for the one night."
"That'll be 25 Gold m'dear," the innkeeper replied.
Kina handed over the money and he handed her the key, pointing to the direction where the rooms were kept.
Kina smiled and thanked him, but chose to stay in the main bar area, for a little while longer, hoping to catch some more snippets of conversations.

Damien, Nazir and Delvin sat with their men in the kitchens to eat the evening meal. They were all tired with sore muscles; for the entire day they had trained together and as per Damien's instructions they broke bread together each evening. As they ate and talked happily a messenger ran into the kitchens.
"I'm looking for Thane Damien Logan!" The young lady announced
Damien rose to his feet and beckoned the messenger over
"Over here girl" He called
She handed over a note and he paid her some coins.
"Sit by the fire if you are cold, drink if you are thirsty and eat if you are hungry" He told her
The girl settled on a small wooden stool by the fire while Damien sat down and opened the note. He read it then read it several more times to check he had read it correctly.
"What is it brother?" Nazir asked
Damien looked up at the Redguard assassin.
"Our sister in Falkreath has been found dead; they think some Stormcloaks caught her offguard during the blizzard"
Damien screwed up the note in his hand, his body shaking with rage. He stood up to address his men.
"Ready a squad of men. We ride for Falkreath at first light!"
Nazir stood up.
"Do not follow that order!"
Damien turned his firey gaze onto Nazir.
"What?!" He demanded
"Brother we must do this properly. Any Stormcloaks will be gone by now and we have people there who can investigate it. We cannot loose you while you run some fool's errand into the middle of an ambush. We will find those responsible and each shall be put to the blade as honour demands"
Damien couldn't argue with Nazir on this point.
"We must do something though; I cannot sit idly by while my brothers and sisters in arms are killed in dishonourable ways"
Nazir let his murderous smile slide back into place.
"Oh we shall do something brother"

For most of the evening Kina listened to the conversations of those around her. Most were pretty mundane, but every now and then something would intrigue her.
After an hour or two, Kina noticed a pair of men sitting in the far corner of the tavern, hunched over their drinks, whispering. Every now and then one or other of them would throw a glance at her, and stare for a few minutes before looking away.
This continued to happen for the majority of the time that she was sitting there, and Kina was getting curious. As the innkeeper walked past her, Kina stuck out her hand.
"Excuse me," she gestured the man over to her, then continued in a whisper, "Those two men in that corner, who are they?"
They seemed to be wearing some kind of armoured uniform.
"They're Stormcloaks. They oppose the Imperial legion and any who stand with them."
"Thanks," Kina chanced a look back in their direction, remembering what Elisha had told her. 'You can trust thieves, assassins, a number of mercenaries and the Imperial soldiers.'
Clearly Kina could not trust these men that had taken such an interest in her. She sat there for a few moments more, before deciding what she should do about them.

Damien and all his men gathered in the map room as Nazir began taking them all through his plan. When he had finished speaking he slammed a dagger into the table for dramatic effect and all those gathered cheered him. Those who were required to left immediately while the others set to work in the armoury and at the stables. Delvin left with the first wave of men bound for Morthal and Nazir was preparing a few last minute items before returning to Dawnstar.
"How long have you planned this for?" Damien asked intrigued
"A few months maybe a little longer" Nazir replied with a smile.
A few hours later Damien and only a few others were left in the manor. The night watch left to patrol the grounds as Damien settled himself down in the armoury to work on one of his side projects.

A plan formed itself in Kina's mind and she grinned to herself. She rose from the table and left the tavern, somehow knowing that the men would follow her.
Sure enough, when she had not going more than 100 feet from the tavern's door, the men appeared outside it. They had donned their helmets and were searching for her through the blizzard.
Kina wandered as far from the tavern as she dared, the settlement was small, consisting of only four building, so finding her way back would not have been difficult. She walked into the woods beyond it and waited quietly for the men to follow her in. Sure enough, a few minutes later they appeared a few feet away from where she was hidden.
Careful not make a noise, Kina crept up behind them as they stood debating where she would have gotten to.
Suddenly Kina charged them, knocking them both to the ground. She landed neatly on the chest of one, her claws tightening around his throat, whilst having her axe pressed tightly against the face of the other. She dropped her hood back and the both of them gasped at the sight of her.
"Now, one of you boys is going to tell me what interest I am to you, and quickly. Or neither of you will live to see the sunrise."

In the early hours of the morning Damien trudged back upstairs into his room and collapsed down onto his bed. As he slept Damien found himself dreaming of standing in the woods watching Kina menacing some Stormcloaks for information. He tried to touch Kina but his hand passed right through her and his heart broke again.
