Damien watched the waters of the lake ripple slightly in the sunlight. It was a hot summer's day in the Lake District but he had donned a large black hooded cloak to venture outdoors. He had made it to the Lake District the previous night and had taken a room at a pokey B&B for the night. The QA had left a note for him under his pillow; how on Earth they knew which room he would be in or how they even got it in there was beyond him. All he knew was that he had to wait here by this Lake Windermere until somebody met him.
He was roasting alive under his cloak. 'Ah Colour Madness be damned' he thought he was not going to die of heat stroke just to avoid becoming a Giist. Damien tore off his cloak like it was on fire and the second the sunlight touched his bare arms he felt it .... That tingling of power whenever the light touched his flesh. He had worn a sleeveless black tunic that he had brought at the Chromeria back on his homeworld specifically for drafting. He whipped off his sunglasses and started at the Sun his eyes open letting the feeling of power flood his body.
Green luxin poured out of his hands and he formed it into a small well for want of a better word raft. Damien kicked it out into the water and backed up about fifteen feet. The wild freedom of green luxin was powerful but also intoxicating; it had been so long since he drafted. Damien sprinted, threw a rope of green luxin into a tree and used it to swing himself out over the water. The rope became green dust which blew away in the breeze as Damien released it to dive into the cool water. Laughing happily as he broke the water's surface Damien swam for his boat drifting merrily a few feet away.

Kina read through the message she had received from the QA that morning, for what seemed like the millionth time. She had only been on Earth for a few days, having decided that it was time for her to visit some of her Valkyrie sisters, before she received the message she was now reading. It told her that it was extremely important that she make her way to the Lake District the following day. Along with the message, Kina had been given train tickets to a station she'd never heard of, departing from Euston, and an umbrella. She had assumed that the umbrella was a joke but then she had read up on the weather forecast for the upcoming week and decided it was a good idea to take it along.
Kina was restless sitting on the train, sitting in the corner by a window, trapped by a man at least 5 times her size sitting next to her. His ragged breathing grated on her nerves but she knew she couldn't move, someone was to deliver the next part of her message to this seat. However, she had no idea how long into the 4 hour journey she would receive said note.
Three hours into her journey, just before she was due to change trains, Kina watched as the fat man stood, albeit with some difficulty, and walked away. She breathed a sigh of relief and stretched her limbs, relishing the ability to move once more. She felt a light tap on her shoulder and spun around to see a child thrusting a piece of paper into her face. Kina smiled and thanked the little boy, taking the note as he ran away.
Kina pocketed the letter as she stood and grabbed her bag, ignoring the looks from other passengers she was getting because of the bright purple hair, and exited the train. As she boarded her connection she opened the letter. The only words in the letter were "Lake Windermere". Kina assumed that was her next destination. While she was waiting for the train to arrive she looked over the notes she had to see if there were anymore clues as to why she was here. She noticed at the very bottom on the back of the last one was the word "Damien" in the tiniest handwriting. So small that she had missed it beforehand. When Kina got off the train at Windermere station she asked a guard how to get to the lake. She thanked the man and took off deciding to walk the distance.
As Kina approached the lake she could see a tall, young looking man swimming in the water. To her he looked like he was enjoying himself, so she decided to sit and wait for him to come back to shore rather than disturb him.

Damien dragged himself onto the boat and lay on his back relishing his freedom. After a few minutes he stood up and stretched feeling revitalised. He looked back to the shoreline in order to judge how far he had made it when he saw a curious young purple haired woman sitting as if waiting for someone.
'Maybe she's my contact from the QA' Damien thought. A grin spread across his face as he had a very fun thought. Drawing in more sunlight he drafted a long plank of ultra-violet luxin connecting the boat to the shore; not many people could see ultra-violet luxin as it was beyond the visible spectrum for many people. Lowering the plank down slightly with more ultra-violet luxin it sat just below the surface of the water. Damien stepped confidently out of the boat either though he was nervous about the plank snapping. The plank held so Damien walked towards the shore as if this was the most normal thing in the world for him to do.

Kina was sat hunched up in the shadows of a large tree as she waited. She hated the sun, mostly because it was difficult to hide her lightening strikes in sunlight, especially on Earth where that sort of thing was highly uncommon.
Kina looked up from the ground in time to see what looked like the young man walking on the surface of the water. "Who does he think he is, Jesus?" She muttered under her breath as he came ashore.

Damien let the luxin turn into dust as he stepped on the shore. Realising he's clothes were stil soaking wet, Damien drafted sub red luxin into an orb which he held until it's immense heat had dried him off. Casting the orb to one side Damien approached the woman cautiously. His right hand moved behind his back as if he was scratching himself but he drafted a short blue luxin dagger; he hoped he would not have to use it but you could never be too careful.
Damien stopped just at the edge of the tree's shadow. "Hello". Damien called trying to appear peaceful. "Are you the one I was told to expect?"

Kina watched intently as the man used his magicks to dry his clothes. She was always wary of other people's powers, especially after a nasty run in with some witches she knew. He hand fluttered down to her hip where she had a small shuriken concealed beneath her waistband.
Kina looked him up and down, "That depends. Who sent you?"

Damien tried to remember the code phrase he had been given. "The Merchant Adventurers Guild of York?" Damien replied unsure as to whether or not he had gotten the phrase right.

Kina grinned and stood up, removing her hand from the shuriken and letting her claws retract slightly. "Close enough. I'm Kina, the QA didn't tell me anything about why I'm here. They just told me I had to be here at this time, and gave me this." She held the back of the note out to the man showing him the word "Damien" on the bottom of the paper. "Mean anything to you?"

Damien dropped his dagger and walked closer to Kina.
"Well yes, Damien happens to be my first name" Damien replied with a smile.
He held out his hand to Kina.

Kina shook Damien's hand. "Nice to meet you" she smiled back at him and put the note away in her bag which held her axe. "So, do you know why we're here?"
