Damien suddenly stared at Kina, his eyes showing his fear.
"Kina I can't keep the memories out for long you have to help me". He pleaded with her
He started to struggle again against her hold on him.
"Please do something .... I will not bow down to Hitler .... Knock me out Kina .... Keep that elixir away from me; I must not become immortal .... Hurry Kina .... Please" Damien started to cry again unable to keep the memories out any longer.

Kina panicked, she was out of her depths here. 'Does he really want me to knock him out?' She thought. She knew she had nothing in her bag that would do that so came up with the only thing she could. She turned her axe round and used the handle to give Damien a whack round the head. He immediately fell back and she climbed off him to sit at his side, hoping she hadn't hurt him more than necessary. While he lay unconscious on the floor she began to push against the barrier holding them in, to see if it would budge, but nothing happened.

The nightmare images stopped as unconsciousness claimed Damien and he was finally able to settle himself down. It was an odd sensation for him not being able to draft it left him feeling so empty and useless inside.
He had never been this aware of his own thoughts before when he was unconscious. There was that artillery bombardment in 1917 but only one thought crossed his mind that time: 'Why didn't I draft a shield'
Damien tried waking himself back up but nothing happened so he reluctantly left all his trust in Kina; by Orholam he hoped this wasn't misguided.

After about 2 hours, it was starting to get a little dark and Damien still hadn't woken. Kina worried that she had hit him too hard but he seemed to still be breathing at least. She shook him slightly to see if he would wake up but nothing happened. As dusk began to fall she decided to try and wake him again. If there was some hostile entity around here, there was no way she could fight it off and keep an eye on him as well. She shook him again but once more, nothing happened. She searched through her bag and found a small bottle of water she always carried out of habit, not that she ever drank it. She pulled the lid off and emptied the bottle over his face unceremoniously.

Damien woke with a start and spat some of the water out over the floor.
"Did I fall in the Chromeria's lake again?" He asked
He shook his head and his eyes settled on Kina.
"What exactly just happened?" He asked

Kina looked at Damien with some concern although tried not to show it. "Uh... you went a bit mental so I had to knock you out. That was a few hours ago now, thought it was time you woke up" She said grinning, trying to make light of the situation.

Damien flopped back onto the floor "You could have at least let me have five more minutes" He told Kina and touched his head "I have a banging headache"
He tried to stand but he fell back down onto his knees again.

Kina chuckled to herself, "uh... that'll probably be where I hit you with the handle of my axe." She shuffled forward to steady him and make sure he was ok. "Look, I just didn't think I'd be able to handle looking out for you and trying to fight off whatever may or may not attack us. If you hadn't noticed, we're still in the field. This is because we can't get out. There seems to be some sort of barrier keeping us in"

"What's in the house?" Damien asked as he struggled to his feet.
Once he was stood up, he tried to walk towards the house but fell into Kina.

"No idea, we didn't get that far" As Damien stumbled, Kina caught him before he fell to the ground. "Are you ok?"
